What is a Plaster Mason?

A plaster mason is a tradesman who uses plaster to create walls and ceilings. They use a variety of tools, including hammers, chisels, saws and trowels, to shape the plaster into desired shapes.

What qualifications are required to become a Plaster Mason?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required to become a plasterer.

2. Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to work with both hands simultaneously.

3. Must pass a background check and proof of insurance before being hired by most companies as a plasterer.

4. Need at least two years of experience in the building trade, preferably plastering, before applying for certification through the National Plaster Contractors Association (NPCA).
