What is a Plaster Mason?

A plasterer is a craftsman who uses plaster to cover walls, ceilings and other surfaces.

What qualifications are required to become a Plaster Mason?

1. A minimum of two years experience as a mason is required to become a plaster Mason.

2. Knowledge in both structural and decorative plastering is essential for success as a plasterer.

3. Excellent hand-eye coordination, patience, and attention to detail are all important skills for any mason working with plaster materials.

4 Ability to read plans and follow directions accurately is also necessary; many times there will be specific instructions pertaining to the type of surface being covered or the shape of the mold needed for casting).

5 Being able to work indoors in confined spaces (such as under floors) can be an added bonus when looking into becoming a Plaster Mason!

What are the skills required to become a Plaster Mason?
