What is a Plastic Surgeon?

A plastic surgeon is a doctor who specializes in reconstructive surgery, which includes cosmetic and reconstructive procedures on the face, neck, hands, feet and other areas of the body.

What qualifications are required to become a Plastic Surgeon?

A. A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree is required

B. Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or equivalent is desired

C. Minimum three years surgical experience is preferred

D. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential

E. Proven ability to handle complex cases

What are the skills required to become a Plastic Surgeon?

1. Excellent surgical skills, including an ability to make precise cuts and sutures with a scalpel or other cutting instruments

2. Knowledge of medical procedures and how they are performed on the body specifically related to plastic surgery such as breast augmentation, liposuction, nose jobs etc.

3. Extensive experience performing various types of surgeries using either traditional open methods (surgery where large parts of the body are visible) or more advanced techniques like minimally invasive surgery which can be done through small incisions without disturbing major organs

4. Strong communication and coordination abilities between team members during complex operations; must be able to keep all patients safe while upholding their medical privacy

5. Proven track record in successful Plastic Surgery practice
