What is a Project Manager?

A project manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a project from start to finish. They are typically hired by organizations with large projects or complex tasks that need an organized approach in order to be completed on time and within budget. A typical job duties of a project manager may include developing timelines, organizing resources, setting goals, communicating with team members and stakeholders, resolving conflicts, and tracking progress.

What qualifications are required to become a Project Manager?

1. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field is required.

2. Experience as a project manager is preferred but not necessary.

3. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success as a PMP® certified project manager; additionally, possessing strong problem solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are also important qualities for this role.

4. Most importantly, experience working with clients on complex projects is key to being successful as a Project Manager - oftentimes one of the most challenging aspects of this profession!
