A property consultant is a professional who helps clients find and purchase properties. They can help with both the research process and negotiating deals on behalf of their clients. A property consultant may also provide other services such as estate planning or real estate education.
1. A degree in land management, real estate or a related field
2. Five years of experience as a property consultant
3. Experience with MLS systems and databases
4. Proven ability to provide sound advice and counsel on buying, selling and managing properties
5. Strong communication skills
1. Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations in the jurisdiction where you will be working
2. Strong knowledge of commercial property types, including office space, retail properties, industrial buildings etc
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills – whether with clients or other professionals involved in the real estate process
4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to deadlines while maintaining quality control standards
5. Experience conducting market research into current trends and prospects for specific markets
