A Purchase Executive is a senior manager who oversees the purchase of goods and services for an organization. They ensure that all necessary paperwork, approvals, and contracts are in place so that purchases can be made quickly and efficiently. They also work to identify potential savings opportunities by investigating prices across different vendors or products.
1. Individuals should have strong negotiation and communication skills
2. They must be able to think on their feet and come up with solutions quickly
3. Strong business acumen is a prerequisite, as they will need to know the ins and outs of sourcing products from different vendors
4. Previous purchasing experience is ideal, but not necessary
5. A critical eye for detail is also key
1. Proven experience in the purchase function of a company or organization.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong business acumen.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both oral and written (both in English and Dutch).
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent time management skills
