A quality control engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet defined quality standards. They may work with customers, employees, or suppliers to ensure the highest possible levels of quality are achieved. Quality controllers typically have a degree in engineering or another technical field and several years experience working in a related field.
1. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or engineering is required.
2. Experience working with quality control processes is desirable but not necessary.
3. Knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques are also beneficial qualities for a QC position.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential since the Quality Controller will work closely with other departments within an organization to ensure product quality standards are met effectively and efficiently.
