1. A real estate license is required in most states to sell property.
2. Knowledge of the local housing market and current trends is a must for success as a real estate salesperson.
3. persuasion and communication skills are essential, as buyers will often be looking to buy or lease properties based on their own needs and wants, not just what's being offered by the seller/agent.
