1. Excellent customer service skills – Receptionists must be able to handle a range of customers with poise and professionalism, whether they are new or longstanding clients. They should also have strong communication and organizational skills in order to manage their team effectively.

2. Attention to detail - Receptionists need to be meticulous when it comes to taking care of the reception area, setting up appointments, maintaining records and ensuring everything runs smoothly for visitors. This attention to detail can often go unnoticed but is key in establishing trust with clients and keeping them happy while they wait for an appointment or tour request.

3. Strong interpersonal skills - A good receptionist needs excellent people-skills so that she can build relationships with her guests as well as keep track of who has been seen where throughout the day/weekend etc.. It's important that they're able both greet guests warmly on arrival (and wish them luck if there's any paperwork involved) whilst remaining professional at all times without being too pushy or condescending; this balance is essential for creating a positive experience for everyone involved! 4 Good organisational abilities - Being organised will help you stay ahead of your workload, know who is currently working on what task and ensure everything goes accordingt o plan during busy periods such as holiday seasons etc...
