What is a Restaurant Manager?

A restaurant manager is responsible for all aspects of the running and management of a restaurant. They are in charge of hiring, firing, scheduling employees, budgeting and marketing their establishment. Additionally, they must ensure that the food served meets both health code regulations as well as customer satisfaction ratings.

What qualifications are required to become a Restaurant Manager?

1. Proven experience as a managing general manager or executive chef in a restaurant environment

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

4. Solid financial management abilities, including understanding budgets and tracking profits/losses

5. Experience working with computers (preferably booking software)

What are the skills required to become a Restaurant Manager?
