What are the skills required to become a Restaurant Supervisor?

1. Demonstrates a high level of knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations, including food service standards, menu planning and preparation techniques, kitchen cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

2. Has strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

3. Proven experience supervising employees in a fast-paced environment; able to provide clear instructions on task performance while maintaining positive team morale.

4 Owns effective communication tools such as verbal & written reports, meeting agendas/ minutes, etc., which enables coordination between various departments within the restaurant operation (front desk / dining room). 5 Skilled at problem solving – is adept at quickly identifying issues that need addressing within their assigned area(s) of responsibility
