Retail salespersons typically have customer service skills as well as knowledge about the products they are selling. Some common responsibilities of a typical retail salesperson include: greeting customers, helping them find the product they're looking for, negotiating prices with buyers, and filling orders correctly.
1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Good customer service skills are a must, as is the ability to talk to people in different situations and understand their needs.
3. Prior retail experience is preferred, but not necessary - training will be provided on the job if needed!
4. Physical stamina and strong work ethic are essential; often Retail Salesmen spend long hours walking around stores ringing up sales floorspace .
