Bixko Building Maintenance is in search of talented and motivated individuals for the post of Rope Access Technician in their office located in UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. They are a DIRECT COMPANY with a team of 11-50 employees working to offer services that ensure the highest standards of quality and perfection.
A Rope Access Technician is a person who helps people on ropes and ladders. They are often called in to help rescue someone or fix something that has gone wrong.
1. A minimum of two years experience in a rope access environment is required to become certified as a Rope Access Technician.
2. Certification can be obtained through organizations such as the National Climbing and Mountaineering Association (NCMA) or American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
3. In order to maintain certification, technicians must complete continuing education courses annually.
4. Ability to read maps and navigate using landmarks is essential for this position; knowledge of climber rescue techniques is also beneficial.
5 . Good personal hygiene habits are key, along with good safety practices when working near heights
The skills required to become a Rope Access Technician vary depending on the company, but generally include experience using rope access systems, safe knot-tying techniques, and good mechanical ability. In addition, technicians typically need certification from an organization such as the National Association of Professional Rope Access Technicians (NAPRAT).

The Job Opportunity The supervision of the Customer Service Representative team to ensure the safe delivery of a reliable, world class façade cleaning and BMU operations. Key accountabilities • Supervision and control of façade cleaners’ movements and ensuring they adhere to predetermined schedules. Able to assess and implement changes to minimise delays or disruptions. • Lead by example, a team of Customer Service Representatives in the provision of a safe, reliable, world class customer focused service • Liaise with Maintenance Team to ensure availability of façade cleaners. • Report incidents, failures or events that impact on safety or service performance to the line manager. • Inform the line manager of any operating conditions that deviate from normal conditions • Manage and modify, when required, the schedule timeframe to cater for unexpected events • Assist the Line manager in the co-ordination and monitoring of Rope Access and BMU work requirements What we are looking for in our candidates • A mature proactive and responsible approach to work with initiative and problem-solving capability • Good literacy, numerical and analytical skills • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks safely and efficiently • Strong organisational skills Specific requirements • Ideally a degree holder or higher diploma of post-secondary education in a related discipline • Understanding of façade cleaning operation controls such as staff supervision, train regulation, manual route setting • Understanding of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook • Ability to liaise in a professional manner with staff at all levels within the organisation • Ideally holder of a UAE driving licence • Minimum 3 years’ experience of front-line customer service façade cleaning operations role.
