A sales assistant is a person who assists the salesperson in selling products or services. They may be responsible for taking customer orders, helping customers with questions, and providing support during the sale process.
1. A basic knowledge of accounting and mathematics is necessary for the Sales Assistant position.
2. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as sales assistants must be able to handle a wide range of inquiries from potential customers.
3. Strong communication abilities are needed, both internally within the company and with customers; it's important that they can relay information in an organized manner while keeping interactions concise and relevant to the client's needs/questions.
4 Being presentable is also key - dress professionally at all times, keep up cleanliness standards in your workspace (and elsewhere), make eye contact with clients when conversing etc., et cetera – showing professionalism will win you more business over time!
