A sales coordinator/executive is a position within sales that typically oversees and manages the overall operation of a particular territory or region. They are responsible for creating and sustaining customer relationships, developing new leads, arranging meetings, conducting research on potential customers, setting up appointments and following through with commitments made by clients. Often they will also be involved in training their team members on how to sell more effectively. This position can vary greatly in terms of size and scope from company to company; however most usually require at least some level of experience working in Salesforce or a related CRM system.
1. Previous sales experience is a must, as the role requires managing and leading teams of sales representatives.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the coordinator/executive often has to negotiate with customers and partners on behalf of the company.
3. Outstanding organisational abilities are also important – this position typically oversees multiple departments within a company, so it's necessary to have strong leadership skills in order to keep things running smoothly (and ensure top performance from team members).
4. A demonstrated ability to handle complex tasks is required – not only will you be handling customer negotiations and interactions on a daily basis, but you'll need plenty of managerial know-how when it comes to setting goals for your team members etcetera too!
