What is a Tig & Arc Welder?

A Tig & Arc Welder is a welding machine that uses a tungsten electrode and an arc to join two pieces of metal.

What qualifications are required to become a Tig & Arc Welder?

1. A Tig & Arc Welder must have a certification from the American Welding Society (AWS).

2. They must also be able to pass a welders test and hold an Allied welding certificate or equivalent qualification.

3. Experience is important, as is being physically fit for the job - welders need strong wrists and hands to handle heavy equipment safely.

4. Finally, some welding companies may prefer employees with experience in other metalworking trades such as machinists or fabricators - if this is your background then you'll be in good shape!
