What is a Tiles Mason?

Tile masons are responsible for installing and repairing ceramic, porcelain and other types of tile in homes or businesses. They use tools such as chisels, saws, drills and hammers to cut tiles into the correct shape and then place them on the floor or wall exactly where they need to be. Tile masons must have excellent hand-eye coordination as well as strong construction skills in order to complete their work successfully.

What qualifications are required to become a Tiles Mason?

a. A minimum of 2 years experience in masonry is required to be a tiles Mason

b. Tiles Masons must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

c. Must be able to read blueprints and work independently with little supervision

d. Must have the ability to think on their feet when working on a project, as mistakes will occur frequently

e. Previous knowledge of tile laying or grouting is helpful but not necessary

What are the skills required to become a Tiles Mason?

1. The ability to read and understand blueprints or drawings of structures such as walls, floors, roofs etc.

2. The skills required to use a saw and other tools necessary for the construction process

3. Knowledge of how building materials like bricks, mortar and tiles are put together to create a structure

4. An understanding of structural engineering principles thatapply when designing masonry projects

5. Ability to work independently in an environment with tight deadlines
