What is a Tiles Mason?

A Tiles Mason is someone who installs tile in a floor or wall.

What qualifications are required to become a Tiles Mason?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required

2. Ability to read, write and understand basic math concepts

3. Must be able to work independently with little supervision

4. Be proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, saws and chisels

5. Have good vision

What are the skills required to become a Tiles Mason?

1. Ability to read and understand blueprints or plans.

2. Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with tools such as a saw, chisel, drill, hammer and nails.

3. Must be physically fit because heavy lifting is often required for tiling projects.

4 . Excellent problem solving skills are essential in order to troubleshoot different tile patterns or configurations before starting a project - this includes knowing how to read construction documents as well as use mathematical formulas when necessary (for example: determining areas of tiles).

5 . A good attitude is also important; Masonry requires patience and strong concentration during long periods of uninterrupted work (not least because Tile installers must have excellent hearing!).
