What is a Waiter?

A waiter is someone who provides food and beverage service in a restaurant or other business. They typically take orders from customers, refill drinks, bring meals to tables, and clear away dishes. Waiter duties may also include stocking the kitchen with supplies and cleaning up afterwards.

What qualifications are required to become a Waiter?

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for a Waiter. They must be able to listen attentively and take orders accurately, without mistake.

2. A Waiter should have good organizational skills as they need to keep track of the flow of guests in the restaurant and ensure that everyone is served promptly.

3. Good multitasking ability is necessary as a Waiter needs to be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously such as taking orders, filling water glasses, clearing tables etcetera .

4. Speed Of Execution - Being efficient while handling customers' requests is another important skill possessed by waiters which often comes under scrutiny from guestRestaurant managers or owners who expect their staffs not only serve food but also clean up quickly after themselves (or other employees). 5 . The physical demands of being on one's feet for long periods at a time during busy times can put extra stress on an individual’s joints so it helps if someone has some previous experience working in service-related positions whether it be in restaurants or elsewhere
