What is a Washing man?

A washing man is someone who cleans clothes by hand. They might use a machine to spin the water around the clothes, but they would still have to scrub them clean.

What qualifications are required to become a Washing man?

1. Experience in a washing plant or laundry facility is required.

2. Knowledge of detergent formulations, machine operators and operating procedures is essential.

3. Excellent customer service skills are necessary as customers may be difficult to please if the wash is not done correctly or quickly enough for their liking!

4. Physical stamina and strength are also important as work can be repetitive and strenuous at times with heavy loads of dirty clothes!

5. A good sense of humor is a must - when things start going wrong, people tend to take it out on the washerman/laundress which can lead to frustration on both sides!.

What are the skills required to become a Washing man?
