A welder cum carpenter is someone who repairs and builds things using welding, carpentry, and other construction trades.
A Welder cum Carpenter must have an apprenticeship and a certification from the trade organization. They also need to be able to read, write and understand English well.
-The ability to read and understand blueprints or schematics of equipment or structures.
-Strong math skills, especially in proportions and geometry.
-Good handeye coordination and dexterity - must be able to hold a welder's torch steadily while welding, as well as use saws accurately.
-Patience - learning how to weld metal requires time and practice; it is not a quick process.
-A good sense of smell, since Welding fumes can be strong
