What is a AC Technician?

An AC Technician is someone who maintains and repairs air conditioning units. They may also be responsible for installing new AC units, or repairing older ones.

What qualifications are required to become a AC Technician?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Experience in repairing and maintaining AC units is preferred, but not necessary.

3. Excellent communication and problem solving skills are needed as a technician because many repairs involve working with other members of the team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

4. Strong technical knowledge in AC unit repair, diagnosis, and maintenance will be essential for success on the job; this includes understanding electrical wiring diagrams, diagnostic tools/techniques, basic mechanics of air conditioning systems etc..

5. possessing a valid certification such as an AFSC 2 Certificates (Air Conditioning Technician), NATE Certified Air Conditioning Technicians (NCAT) or CAAHEP certified HVAC technicians may give you some advantage when applying for jobs in the field

What are the skills required to become a AC Technician?
