A car mechanic is a person who repairs or maintains cars. They might do things like change spark plugs, check oil levels, and replace tires.
A person must have at least an associate's degree in auto mechanics from a recognized school. Many states also require certification by the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF).
