A Barista is someone who prepares coffee and other hot drinks for customers in a cafe or restaurant. They may also help to serve the food.
A barista must have excellent customer service skills and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They also need to be knowledgeable about coffee, tea, espresso machines, milk frothing devices, and bakery products. Baristas must also be proficient in using a computerized brewing system or manual brewing method.

Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks. Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
