What is a BMS Operator?

A BMS Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a biologics manufacturing facility. They monitor process parameters, maintain equipment, and coordinate with other departments within the plant to ensure consistent production.

What qualifications are required to become a BMS Operator?

1. A BMS Operator must have a valid license to operate a medical device in the state where they are practicing.

2. They need to be competent with using software such as SICPAC or PMS for tracking and managing devices, reviewing reports, communicating with patients/caregivers, and implementing changes when needed.

3. They should also possess good computer skills including being able to navigate through web-based applications and use basic office software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

4. In addition, they should have experience working with complex medical devices (including those that require electrical wiring) and understand how these systems function from both an operational standpoint as well as technical aspects of the equipment itself (for example: firmware updates).

5. Finally, having undergone training on safety procedures related to handling electronic health records is often required by employers
