What is a Cable Jointer?

A cable jointer is a tool used to join two pieces of metal wire by pressing and cutting the electrical cables in between them.

What qualifications are required to become a Cable Jointer?

1. Experience in cable installation and maintenance is a must.

2. Must be able to read and understand blueprints or drawings of electrical systems.

3. Ability to use hand tools, such as saws, drills, chisels etc., is essential for this position.

4 . Previous experience repairing cables would also be an advantage

5 . Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary as the job can be challenging at times

What are the skills required to become a Cable Jointer?

1. Knowledge of how to use a hand saw

2. Understanding of the different types and grades of cable wire

3. Familiarity with common jigs, clamps, and techniques for cutting cables safely and accurately

4. Ability to read schematics or drawings to identify where wires should be cut

5. Experience in fabricating custom cable assemblies
