What is a Camp Boss?

A Camp Boss is a person who oversees and manages camp activities. They are responsible for ensuring that the campers have a good time while they're there, making sure that all rules are followed, and setting an example for the other campers.

What qualifications are required to become a Camp Boss?

1. The ability to lead and manage a group of campers or staff.

2. Strong organizational skills and the ability to create efficient workflows.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both within the group and with outside parties (fire department, parents).

4. Experience working in a summer camp setting is preferred but not required; training from an experienced Camp Boss will be provided during application process .

5. A passion for camping/outdoor activities is a must!

What are the skills required to become a Camp Boss?

1. Planning and organizing activities for campers aged 6-12 years old;

2. Providing leadership and guidance to the camp staff while ensuring everyone is having fun;

3. Being able to handle difficult situations calmly, diplomatically, and quickly;

4. Managing a budget carefully in order to provide quality programming without breaking the bank;

5. Developing positive relationships with both parents/guardians as well as children of all ages
