What is a Gynecologist?

A gynecologist is a doctor who specializes in women's health. They may treat everything from menstrual cramps to birth defects, and can provide preventive care for both men and women.

What qualifications are required to become a Gynecologist?

A doctor who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology must have a medical degree from an accredited school. They also need to complete residency training, which is typically four years long. After completing their residency, they are eligible to board certification by the American Board of Obstetrician and Gynecologists (ABOG). Finally, they must pass a national examination called the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).

What are the skills required to become a Gynecologist?
