What are the skills required to become a Head Chef?

2. Proven experience working with different types of food, including but not limited to proteins, vegetables, grains, herbs and sauces.

3. Knowledge of sophisticated cooking techniques such as blanching/sautéing/frying etc., so that dishes can be presented elegantly and quickly on the plate without sacrificing quality or flavor profiles.

4 . Skilled at improvisation - being able take an ordinary dish like macaroni & cheese and turn it into something extraordinary by adding unique ingredients (eccentricities), presentation methods (layering) or baking tweaks (baking powder).

5 . Excellent communication skills both verbally and written – capable of translating complicated procedures into easy-to-follow steps for others in the kitchen who may not have prior culinary experience
