Highway Street Cafe And Restaurant is in search of talented and motivated individuals for the post of Head Chef in their office located in UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. They are a DIRECT COMPANY with a team of 11-50 employees working to offer services that ensure the highest standards of quality and perfection.
A head chef is the top position in a kitchen. They are responsible for the overall operation and quality of food served at their restaurant or catering company. Head chefs typically have extensive experience cooking professionally, leading teams of cooks, and managing budgets. They must be able to think on their feet and make quick decisions while under pressure.
1. A degree in culinary arts or related field
2. 5 years of experience as a head chef
3. Excellent restaurant management skills and knowledge in food preparation, quality control, sanitation and safety practices
4. Proven ability to lead teams of cooks through the execution of complex recipes and menus
5. Ability to work independently with little supervision
1. Excellent cooking skills, including the ability to create complex and innovative dishes from scratch;
2. Strong organizational skills, as a head chef is responsible for managing multiple tasks simultaneously;
3. Proven track record of success in leading successful kitchens before being appointed to their current role;
4. Extensive knowledge of food trends and how to capitalize on them for menu development ; 5 . Ability to work independently with little supervision
