They are responsible for supervising all aspects of food preparation and service, from the line cooks who work under them to the executive chefs who report to them. Head chefs typically have years of experience cooking at high-end restaurants before they become managers or lead kitchens themselves.
1. A degree in culinary arts or a related field
2. Three to five years of experience as a head chef or equivalent position
3. Experience with various cooking techniques and appliances, including pressure cookers and ovens
4. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently
