A Heavy Equipment Mechanic is a technician who repairs and maintains large, heavy machines used in construction or manufacturing. This includes everything from bulldozers to cranes. They may also be responsible for maintaining these machines on-site, as well as troubleshooting problems when they occur. AHeavy Equipment Mechanic typically has a degree in mechanical engineering or another related field.
1. Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics and repair principles
2. Experience working with large machines, including forklifts and haul trucks
3. Ability to read blue prints or schematics to diagnose problems
4. Familiarity with computer-aided diagnostics (CAD) software programs
5. Strong problem solving skills
1. Ability to use basic hand tools

3. Strong mechanical understanding
4. Experience working with heavy machinery (tractors, backhoes, etc.)
