A HVAC technician is someone who repairs, maintains, and installs heating, cooling or ventilation systems in buildings. They may also be responsible for preventive maintenance on these systems. A typical career path for a HVAC technician includes completing an apprenticeship program and then attending technical school to receive certification.
1. Certification as an HVAC Technician is generally required
2. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a building is essential
3. Ability to read blueprints or schematics, identify problems, and recommend solutions
4. Experience installing, repairing, or adjusting heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
5. Excellent problem-solving skills

3. Experience working with electrical wiring in a HVAC system
