What is a Hydrotest Technician?

A hydrotest technician is a skilled individual who performs water tests and repairs on hydraulic equipment. They may also be responsible for training other technicians in the use of this equipment. Hydrotest technicians must have a thorough understanding of hydraulics, as well as the ability to operate diagnostic tools effectively.

What qualifications are required to become a Hydrotest Technician?

1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required to become a Hydrotest Technician.

2. Some experience with testing and repairing hydroelectric power systems may be helpful, but not necessary for the role.

3. Excellent communication, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills are essential for this position due to the nature of working on electric powered machines.

4. Mechanical ability is also important as some repairs necessitate working on complex machinery in close quarters; often requiring dexterity and strong arms..

5 . Required certification includes an Electrician’s license from one of the United States states (or Canadian provinces).
