What qualifications are required to become a Hygiene and Sanitation Supervisor?

1. A degree in Hygiene or Sanitation from an accredited institution is required.

2. Previous experience as a hygiene supervisor, sanitation technician, or lead custodian is preferred but not necessary for the position.

3. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for this occupation due to the high level of responsibility assigned to supervisors.

4. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is also important since Supervisors must be able to manage their own workload while providing guidance and support to subordinates..

5 .Supervision of hygienists and sanitators may require certification such as OSHA 10 CFR Part 1910 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
