What is a Instrument Fitter?

Instrument Fitter is someone who fits and assembles scientific instruments. Instrumentation can include anything from microscopes to satellites. A typical job for an instrument fitter would be fitting a new microscope onto a lab bench, or repairing an old one.

What qualifications are required to become a Instrument Fitter?

Instrument Fitting requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in the instrument trade. Additionally, an Instrument Fitter must have good problem-solving skills, be able to read technical drawings accurately, and have excellent manual dexterity.

What are the skills required to become a Instrument Fitter?

1. Strong knowledge of mechanics and electronics

2. Good problem solving skills

3. Experience in instrumentation and measurement equipment repair or installation
