What is a Instrument Supervisor?

Instrument Supervisors are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an aircraft’s instruments. This includes ensuring that all instrumentation is working properly, as well as issuing warnings when necessary. Instrument Supervisors also work to keep passengers informed about their surroundings through proper instrument usage.

What qualifications are required to become a Instrument Supervisor?

1. A minimum of 4 years instrument making experience is required to become an Instrument Supervisor.

2. Prior experience in a production or recording environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of music software and audio engineering concepts such as frequency analysis and equalization.

3. Excellent communication skills are essential, since the Instrument Supervisor must effectively work with both musicians and engineers on complex projects.

4. Strong problem-solving abilities are also necessary, given that supervision duties can include resolving technical issues related to instruments and recordings alike.

5.. In addition to possessing strong musical judgement, an Instrument Supervisor should have excellent organizational skills; being able to keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously is a key requirement for this position
