What is a Instrument Supervisor?

An Instrument Supervisor is responsible for the safe operation of aircraft instruments. They ensure that all instrument readings are accurate and within acceptable limits, monitor other crewmembers' performance in this area, and take corrective action as needed.

What qualifications are required to become a Instrument Supervisor?

1. Instrument experience is a must for any aspiring instrument supervisor.

2. Excellent communication and problem solving skills are key to success as an instrument supervisor.

3. Strong organizational abilities are essential, as the position requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously while keeping track of deadlines and critical priorities.

4. A strong understanding of music theory is necessary in order to properly evaluate and manage musical performances by musicians using instruments; additionally, knowledge of acoustic engineering principles can be beneficial in ensuring that sound quality is optimal throughout live performance settings or recording sessions utilizing instruments/virtual audio devices (VADs).

5. Demonstrated leadership ability within the music industry would also be advantageous, given that many organizations employ instrument supervisors on staff who serve as lead coordinators during large-scale concerts or productions featuring numerous performers playing various instruments at once - requiring considerable coordination between team members across different departments (sound crew, lighting & staging technicians, stage managers etc.).
