What is a Instrument Supervisor?

A Instrument Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all instruments on an aircraft are functioning properly and meeting the required safety standards. They also help to troubleshoot instrument issues, recommend corrections when necessary, and ensure crew compliance with instrument flight rules (IFRs).

What qualifications are required to become a Instrument Supervisor?

1. Instrument Supervisor experience is required.

2. Strong technical knowledge of instruments and sound production are necessary.

3. Good problem solving skills are essential, as the supervisor must be able to resolve instrument problems quickly and efficiently.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed in order to work with a diverse group of people within an orchestra or musical theatre setting (including performers, engineers, managers).

5. A degree in music or related field is usually required for most positions as Instrument Supervisors do not generally hire entry-level employees

What are the skills required to become a Instrument Supervisor?
