What is a Instrument Technician?

A Instrument Technician is a technician who specializes in instruments. Instruments can be anything from weather stations to aircraft engines. They typically work on these machines, diagnosing and correcting problems as they arise.

What qualifications are required to become a Instrument Technician?

1. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Instrument technicians must have strong math skills and be able to work with complex equipment, preferably using a computerized system.

3. In order to become an instrument technician, you will need proficiency in basic engineering principles as well as experience working with instruments and electronics systems.

4. Must pass the national instrument technician certification test (NITCP). This can be done through accredited institutes such as Tech-Ed or CCTI/ASCII .

5. Experience repairing musical instruments is also beneficial
