V.g. Consultancy is in search of talented and motivated individuals for the post of Marine Engine Mechanic in their office located in SAUDI ARABIA. They are a HR CONSULTANCY with a team of 11-50 employees working to offer services that ensure the highest standards of quality and perfection.
A Marine engine mechanic is a skilled technician who inspects, repairs and maintains marine engines. They may work on both diesel and gasoline engines, depending on the type of vessel they are working on. A Marine engine mechanic must have excellent mechanical skills as well as knowledge about naval architecture and shipbuilding in order to maintain these complex machines properly. They also need strong problem solving abilities so that they can identify problems with an engine early and fix them before they become larger issues
1.A degree in engineering or mechanical sciences is necessary.
2. Experience working on engines and repairing them is a must.
3. Must be able to read, write, and understand technical manuals and schematics.
4. Must have good problem-solving skills and be able to think outside the box when it comes to solving engine problems.
5 .Must have strong hand-eye coordination
The Marine Engine Mechanic must have a knowledge of marine engines, their component parts and how they work. They also need to be able to read and write technical specifications for engine components. In addition, the mechanic needs advanced math skills in order to troubleshoot mechanical problems with engines. Finally, the individual must be skilled in working with tools and machines, as well as have strong problem-solving abilities.

Employee Duties & Responsibilities 1) Repairs and adjusts electrical mechanical equipment of gasoline- or diesel-powered inboard or inboard-outboard boat engines, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing meters. 2) Starts motor and listens to its sound to define causes of trouble. 3) Tests the motor for conformance to manufacturers' specifications, using electrical testing meters. 4) Dismantles motors, using hand tools, and examines parts for defects. 5) Adjusts generator and replaces faulty wiring, using hand tools and soldering iron. 6) Installs piston rings, adjusts carburettor, grinds valves, and repairs or replaces reduction gears, and other parts, using a lathe, drill press, hand tools, and power tools. 7) Examines propeller and propeller shafts and repairs defective parts. 8) Aligns engine to the propeller shaft. 9) May operate a boat on the water to test repairs. 10) May repair only mechanical equipment of engines, like power-tilt, bilge pumps, or power take-offs. 11) May be designated according to the type of engine repaired as Motorboat Mechanic, Inboard ship-boat mfg.; Motorboat Mechanic, Inboard/Outboard ship-boat mfg..
