What is a Mason

A Mason (General) is a male Freemason who has been elected to lead the Craft. Masons are generally responsible for setting and maintaining the standards of Masonic practice within their Lodge, district or Grand Lodge.

What qualifications are required to become a Mason

A Mason must be of pure heart, upright in character and moral philosophy, free from religious bigotry or prejudice. He must also have a good understanding of the principles upon which our government is founded. Finally, he should be physically able to withstand the rigors associated with membership in Freemasonry.
