What is a Mason

A Mason is a member of an organization that traces its origins back to the ancient Egyptians. Masons are believed to work together towards common goals and share similar beliefs in order to make the world a better place.

What qualifications are required to become a Mason

1. Must be at least 18 years old

2. Must have been a member of some type of organized religion for at least 2 years

3. Masons must believe in God and observe the customs, rituals and laws set out by their religious organization

4. Male applicants are required to wear a white dress shirt while female applicants are allowed to wear any clothing that covers the body securely from the neck down (no short skirts or revealing attire)

5. A Mason must agree to swear an oath never to reveal secrets within Freemasonry

What are the skills required to become a Mason

first and foremost you need to be a man of integrity, have strong moral values,be able to work as part of a team, attend regular meetings and contribute your input both verbally and in writing. secondly you must be physically fit for the job including being able to lift heavy objects. lastly it is helpful if you have some knowledge about ancient history or architecture as masons are often called upon to help with building projects.
