What is a Mason

A Mason (General) is a member of the Masonic Order who has been raised to the highest degree, or degrees within that order. As such, Masons are considered experts in many areas of knowledge and skilled professionals. They can be found working in every facet of society - from politics and business to education and medicine.

What qualifications are required to become a Mason

1. A Mason must be at least 18 years old

2. He or she must have been made a Freemason in accord with the ancient ritualistic ceremonies of Freemasonry

3. The applicant must believe in a Supreme Being and profess an oath to obey his or her moral laws

4. Masons are required to observe high ethical standards, including honesty, integrity, courage, kindness and charity

5. In order for someone to become a Master Mason they must first be passed through the preliminary stages known as York Rite

What are the skills required to become a Mason
