What is a Mason

A Mason is someone who has been initiated into a Masonic order. Masons are generally considered to be helpful and supportive members of their community, and many hold positions of leadership in various organizations.

What qualifications are required to become a Mason

1. Must be at least 18 years of age

2. Must have been a member in good standing of a Lodge for two years or more

3. Candidates must pass an examination on Masonic law and history

4. Candidates must also demonstrate knowledge of the ceremonies, principles and symbolism associated with Freemasonry

5. In addition to meeting the above qualifications, candidates must also agree to abide by the laws and regulations governing Masonry

What are the skills required to become a Mason

1. Knowledge of the Bible and its teachings

2. Understanding of symbols and allegory in Freemasonry

3. Worshipful attitude – being willing to learn and grow, as well as show respect for fellow Masons
