What is a Mason

A Mason (General) is a member of the Masonic order. He or she has received additional training and knowledge in masonry, which makes him or her ideally suited to serve as an advisor and representative for Masons around the world. A Mason (General) typically serves as chairperson or treasurer for a lodge, manages relationships with other lodges, and assists members during ceremonies.

What qualifications are required to become a Mason

1. You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction or country

2. You must have been initiated into a Masonic Lodge

3. You should believe in a Supreme Being and hold moral values that are consistent with those beliefs

4.You should have good character traits, including honesty, courage, benevolence and respect for others

5. Knowledge of Masons' rituals is not required

What are the skills required to become a Mason

1. Knowledge of the Masonic rites and ceremonies

2. Ability to read, write, and understand English

3. Must be at least 18 years old

4. Affiliation with a Masons' lodge or other Fraternity membership is required
