A Material Control Assistant is a person who assists with controlling and managing materials in an organization. They may be responsible for helping to select, purchase, transport, store, dispose of or recycle material.

What qualifications are required to become a Material Control Assistant?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Basic math skills are important, as material control assistants must be able to calculate and review stock inventory levels, order materials, and track deliveries in a warehouse setting.

3. Strong communication skills are necessary since Material Control Assistants often work with supervisors and other employees on the production floor of a manufacturing plant or distribution center. They need to be able to effectively relay messages between different parts of an organization while maintaining composure under pressure.
