What is a Mechanical Helper?

A Mechanical Helper is an assistive device that helps people with disabilities to live more independently. Mechanical Helpers can help those who have difficulty walking, climbing stairs or using standard kitchen appliances. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and are available in both manual and electric versions.

What qualifications are required to become a Mechanical Helper?

1. Must have a driver's license or equivalent.

2. Experience with tools and mechanical equipment helpful, but not required.

3. Good attention to detail and problem solving skills important for this position.

4.. Ability to read schematics and blueprints is necessary for some positions as well as basic math skills (adding/subtracting).

5.. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
