What is a Pump Mechanic?

A pump mechanic is someone who repairs, adjusts, and maintains pumps. They often work in factories or large commercial buildings where there are a lot of pumps.

What qualifications are required to become a Pump Mechanic?

1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

2. Mechanical engineering experience and/or certification in pumping equipment are helpful but not mandatory for admission to the program.

3. Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals, are necessary for pump mechanics work as well as other technical positions within business organizations that use pumps and fluid systems regularly (mechanical engineers may require more specialized training than Pump Mechanic candidates).
