What is a Pump Mechanic?

A Pump Mechanic is a person who repairs, maintains, and operates pumps. They may work in factories or on oil rigs.

What qualifications are required to become a Pump Mechanic?

1. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required to become a pump mechanic.

2. Certification/Licensure: In order to be certified, a pump mechanic must pass an exam offered by the National Pump Mechanic Association (NPA). There are also state and regional certification programs available.
